Today, as usual, I took the bus to go to school when I witnessed an old black lady being told to stand up and leave her place to a strong white man it was rather confusing because there were a lot of empty seats next to her. She refused because she was tired then an argument took place. When suddenly he said the n-word nobody was shocked instead they acted ignorant, nobody came in and helped the lady. And Then it happened, the man took the lady by her arm and threw her on the floor. The lady was startled it was obvious she was hurt and I was sitting there not daring to utter a word. The lady stood up and started erasing some of the tears that had formed in her eyes looking at the man with fierce eyes. Then he went to an officer that was nearby and told him that the lady frightened him or something along those lines. Then the officers came in and arrested the lady. She was confused and started looking around, her teary eyes meetings everyone including mines. It was then that I felt guilty for simply being born white.
