Une fonction affine s'écrit sous la forme : f(x)=ax + b
Il faut donc trouver a et b de façon à ce que :
a × 5 + b = 16
et
a × (-2) + b = -5
donc :
5a + b = 16
-2a + b = -5
donc (5a + b)-(-2a + b) = 16 - (-5)
donc 5a + b + 2a - b = 16 + 5
donc 7a = 21
donc a = 3
5a + b = 16
⇒5×3 + b = 16
⇒15 + b = 16
⇒ b = 16 -15
⇒ b = 1
la fonction sera donc : f(x) = 3x +1
Vérification : f(5)=3*5 + 1 = 16
f(-2) = 3*(-2) + 1 = -6 + 1 = -5
