J'ai réussis à trouver un dossier, avec toutes les questions à laquelle je dois répondre, jusqu'à "Complete this pyramid with the names of the castes". Is this system allowed today ?"
3- 1.27 billion people lives in India.
So India is the second most populous country in the world after China.
4-
Religion:
Hinduism: 80% Of the population
Buddhism: 0.7% Of the population
Jains : 0.5% Of the population
5- 33 languages (which 22 of them are official) are spoken in India.
6- The 2 most widely spoken languages are Hindu and Bengali
7- The Indian society is divided into 4
Brahmin: The priestly/intellectual class
Kshatriyas: The warrior class
Vaishyas: The trade/commerce class
Shudras: The agricultural/labor class
Today this system is: - forbidden
8- From the 19th century to 1947, India was under the direct rule of the British crown
From 1916 to 1947, The Indians, led by Gandhi, fought for India’s independence.
Today India is a federal republic
Name of the Indian president: Pratibha Patil
Name of the prime minister: Manmohan Singh
10- Diwali, is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. Its name stands for “the row” (avali) “of clay lamps” (or deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects us from spiritual darkness.
