Le texte :It was all the way back in 2020 when the Rugby World Cup Pools were drawn for the 2023 event. So now we know what the pools are and who will be facing off in France.
Deciding the World Cup pools hasn't always been plain sailing*. For example, Romania replaced Spain in Pool B after the latter's appeal against their disqualification was dismissed in June 2022. Spain fielded an ineligible player during qualification.
However, England captain Owen Farrell said: "It's a great pool to be part of. If you look across them all, they're all tough, tough pools. With the way Japan and Argentina are going at the minute and some of the rugby that has been played over the last few years by them both obviously it's going to be a tough pool."
France 2023 will kick off on Friday 8 September 2023 and the final will take place on 21 October 2023.
