In 1962 , Jamaica become independent , the English domination is gone . The king of Reggae ( the nickname of Bob Marley ) will that we “ stand up for your rights “ This song is for the respect , defense and promotion of human rights. To win the elections , Michael Manley use the reggae and this last one become popular . This music genre has an impact of political life . Bob Marley was a famous singer because he’s fighting for equality of rights between men . He symbolises the hope for black people . In the Bob Marley’s song “Get up , stand up” , he delivers an universal message . Before , Jamaica was not independent , now it’s so he has to fight for this rights . According to Bob Marley , they hide behind a divine force so as not to have to fight for their rights. Their futur is in their hands. They have the power to change the future of Jamaica.
