This audio is told by someone who is considered to be "The Father of Graffiti". He explains that he is called that because it is a very basic graffiti that doesn't really stand out. He tells his story and start with an anecdote, a "funny story". He was making a graffiti in an elevator with other people when someone surprised him and told a cop to do something. This cop didn't do anything and just let them continue.
He explains the evolution of his group's graffitis, that they started being small on a blank wall and then got bigger and bigger, more and more stylized.
He also says that the subways got an important part in the story of graffiti, because they were present in many different neighborhoods. He also says that when children wanted to be popular, that was a good way for them to do so.
Then, what they did was making graffitis and sign them, then they would get famous without anybody really knowing who they were.
