theatre companies. Established in a Sydney suburb in 1972, it was an active and powerful voice in
promoting Aboriginality and Indigenous political concerns. Activists with in this theatre saw ons of
tbeir main gosis as being the political education of Indigenous people. However, Aboriginal theatre
closed in 1977

Rock paintings. Australia has some of the oldest and largest open-air rock art sites in the world.
You can find Aboriginal rock art sites in many rural, remote and even urban environments. They

Ularu, also known as Ayers Rock, is probably Australia's best-known patural landmark. The

rock paintings of great cultural importance.

Decause it's so close to Sydney, it's very easy to get to. it consists of an extensive mountainous
region, escarpments, canyons, and plateaus in New South Wales. The mountains were named
becane of the blue hue they have in summer, because of the abundant mist of oil released by the
eucalyptus frees,
