What roles did men and women traditionally hold in the 50s? Would you say things have changed? How different are gender roles now?

bea26074 Traditionally, in the 50s, men were the ones who went to work and who were making money, whereas women had to take care of their children and their husband, they had to cook and clean the house, and they weren’t allowed to work.
Things have changed a lot nowadays. Women now can work and the chores that only the women had to do before are now equally or almost equally distributed between husband and wife or partners.
