Last month. I (visit) __________________ friends in Queensland and I (meet) _________________ an English guy called Nigel. One night Nigel (decide) _____________ to have a bath. Ten minutes later he (sing) ___________________________ and (splash) __________________ happily when suddenly we (hear) ____________ a shriek. Arrrgghh! Then the bathroom door (slam) _______________________. And the next thing we (hear) _________________________ was thump, thump, thump and “Got you! Got you ! Got you!” .
We all (run) _________________ upstairs. Nigel (stand) _________________________, axe in hand, next to a Python cut into pieces. Only the Python was Bob, our friend’s pet! What a horrible story!

Ten minutes later, he was singing and splashing happily when suddenly we heard a shriek. Arrrgghh! Then the bathroom door slammed. And the next thing we heard was thump, thump, thump and “Got you! Got you! Got you!”.

We all ran upstairs. Nigel was standing, axe in hand, next to a Python cut into pieces. Only the Python was Bob, our friend’s pet! What a horrible story!
