Last year I went to the USA with my brother. We landed in Los Angeles. We were really excited because LA is the city of stars with of course Hollywood, home of the US film industry. We were candid enough to suppose that we could meet some well-know people. Unfortunately we didn't meet any of them but we had great fun. My brother even fell in love with a beautiful Californian girl who was fond of surf. We met her on Venice Beach and she guided us in Los Angeles. She showed us the Griffith Observatory where we could contemplate impressive views of the surrounding areas. She then drove us to Malibu and we sunbathed on Zuma beach although it was overcrowded.
We stayed three days in LA and we then moved to Las Vegas with Alison (the girl we had met in LA) . It took us more than four hours by car to reach it. It was impressive to see such a big city in the middle of the Mojave desert. But, the city was more beautiful at night with all the lights and the bright neons everywhere. We went to Las Vegas Strip where lots of tourists played in casinos. We tried two casinos but we didn't win anything, We just lost a few dollars. We spent the night in Vegas and the following morning, my brother was sad because it was the last time he could see Alison who had to go back to her job in LA.
We rent a car because we wanted to cross the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (our last destination before going bak to France.) and we had a picnic at Golden Gate Park. We also visited Alcatraz Island which is now a tourist attrraction but formerly, famous prisoners like Al Copone were jailed there.
What we prefered was Las Vegas even though my brother feels sad whenever we talk about it. It reminds him of Alison who has never answered my brother's emails.
