Merci d'avance <3 Dans le dernier enregistrement, on nous dit que : « Machines have begun to rival with human intelligence or perhaps, even exceed it..” Bien que les machines ne reproduisent toujours pas le mode de pensée humaine, elles ont réussi à produire des résultats très « intelligents » : Robots can see, they can see better than us, but they don’t understand what they are seeing, they can’t recognize objects very well, and the second is very important, robots can hear, robots can hear much better than us but they don’t necessarily understand what they are hearing.
The last recording says: « Machines have begun to rival with human intelligence or perhaps, even exceed it...” In other word this should mean that machines are becoming so sophisticated that they could exceed human intelligence. Although machines cannot always reproduce human way of thinking, they manage to deliver/achieve specific results: Robots can see, they can see better than us, but they don’t understand what they are seeing, they can’t recognize objects very well, and the second is very important, robots can hear, robots can hear much better than us but they don’t necessarily understand what they are hearing. This recording shows that even if they still present some defaults, they are still powerful enough and they can still progress (or be improved)
During our course, we studied the following text: Man vs Machine. This machine is named, it is a computer developed by IBM that took part in a Jeopardy TV game show in January 2011 and a general culture competitive test on an American TV. The computer won against two candidates who were the game champions, as you can see it on the class picture (page 44). Despite the wealth of human intelligence, Watson showed an outstanding capacity to understand and answer questions raised to it. Therefore this demonstrate that progress is not always an asset to human beings since Watson can exceed our human capacities. He is stronger than human beings and above all compared with intelligence. It is much more than progress. This huge development can also become a drawback for human being. But if robots could surpass human beings, could they control us?
