Halloween started back two thousand years ago when the Celtic people used to celebrate a harvest festival called Sam Heim during that festival people were often dressed as witches ghosts and used to customize turnips with scary faces in order to scare and prevent bad spirits to tamper undermine the next season! that festival became a local culture and when the celtics ( europeans ) moved to the United States with the colonization by United Kingdom they carried that culture! furthermore when the colonizers reached in american soil and observed that the weather and the main culture of the region was focused on Pumpkins they made changes in that aspect as well as several others such as replacing the main vegetable to pumpkin since it was bigger and easier to customize in order to make scary and ominous faces! as well as the main reason of the event it was not anymore to celebrate the annual harvest instead it was changed for a day where people celebrated the Dead, those who have passed away! and figures such as witches and ghosts still remain however the new american culture brought new characters such as Jack o lantern which has a folk trait so on and so forth! and the festival Halloween is still huge especially in america when kids now play tricks or treat therefore several houses have a sweet bowls in front of them so the cosplayed kids can grap several sweets as well as huge parties take place in that day in america, and it has turned a main festival including artists and web celebrities make expensive costumes to be in the trend! therefore it is a great culture and should be expanded, brazil is starting to get in, there are currently several parties and school themes related to halloween here! and it is getting bigger! we hope that someday it will be a huge festival here as well
