This building is the Globe Theatre, an ancient theatre of London strongly associated with the famous british dramaturg Shakespeare, who constructed it and acted many plays in this place.
Actually, the construction who still stand is not the original. The first building was burned accidentaly in 1613, but immediately replaced by a new one in the next year. The second theatre was also closed and destructed in 1642, like all other theatres of England, by followers of the puritains movement. It's in 1996, with the support of the american actor Sam Wanamaker, that an exact replica of the theatre at Shakespeare era was builded at 230 meters from the historical location.
