The dream has finally arrived.
My parents and me left our country Ireland because we were extremely poor. After a long hard trip where we were packed, I see the promised land.

Today we finally saw the Statue of Liberty! It was so beautiful! We have to go through Ellis Island. I'm a bit frightened and happy at the same time.

A man asks us for our passports. He asked me some questions about my background and why I want to live in America.
He tells me to go to a place. I am alone, my parents are not around anymore.
I'm scared. I am looking for my parents. I wait alone. The anxiety comes and if I had lost my parents.
I have to take this famous medical test. My parents and I went up the stairs to the big room and the doctors were standing at the top watching. It was impressive. Fortunately, we were in very good health. We didn't have any problems. For some, the adventure ended there.
