Veuillez me suivre madame
DRIVER. - This woman (points Rosa) moved to the front and refused to make way for Mr. yet as it should do!
POLICEMAN. - It is a violation of law, indeed! Please follow me madam
Rosa is strongly up, furious. The officer cuffs him. The white man dusts Rosa seat before sitting down with a triumphant smile.
WHITE MAN, obviously very pleased with that anger on the faces of Rosa. - Thank you Mr. Policeman. That puts things in their place
POLICEMAN, Rosa - I'll take you to the post! You'll see what it costs to break the laws of the state of Alabama ... and try to resist the forces of order!
ROSA, desperate - but Mr. Policeman, I have not done anything wrong!
The officer pretended to answer, but at that time a young black man gets up and walks quickly toward them.
YOUNG BLACK MAN. Wait, officer! How much should I pay to avoid that Madame go to jail?
POLICEMAN. - I think (he pauses to think) two hundred and fifty dollars should be enough!
The young man goes out money from his pocket and pays the officer. This frees Rosa.
POLICEMAN, Rosa. - You got lucky this time, but it does not happen again!
