Aidez moi à répondre aux questions svp The slave trade Ships left west coast ports like Liverpool and Bristol ( or French ports like Nantes or Bordeaux ) full of fireams , gunpowder , metals , alcohol , cotton goods , beads, knives and mirrors- the sort of things African Chiefs appreciated . These goods were exchanged for slaves - people who been captured in local tribal wars . The slaves were then Packed so tightly into the slave ships that they could hardly move . Often they were chained down and allowed little exercise . Condictions were terrible. By the middle of the eighteenth century British ships were carrying about 50000 slaves a year . The slavers sailed from Africa across the Atlantic . Slaves who had survived the Journey were sold to plantation orwers in the West Indies , the southern colonies of America ( Virginia , the Carolinas , Georgia ) where they spent the rest of their lives working to produce goods like Cotton , tobacco , sugar Cane and coffee. The slave-priduced goods were shipped back to Britain , the " Mother Country " where they were manufactured or refined and then either sold locally or re-exported at a vast profit . The slave trade brought in huge amounts of money to Britain What were those " vehicles" full of when they left their countries of origin ? What for ? What were the y full of when They went back to their countries of origin ? What were their countries of origin ? What were the travelling condictions like on those " vehicles" ? Where did they take the slaves ? What for ? What country benefitted from that trade ?
a)Those "vehicles" (ships) were full of fire arms, gunpowder, metals, alcohol, cotton good (clothes), beads (perles), knives and mirrors.
b)Those goods were appreciated by African Chiefs and, so, they (white men) could exchange them against black people who 've been captured in local wars and were going to be sold as slaves
c) When they were going back to their countries in Europe, the ships were full of cotton, tobacco, coffee, sugarcane to be manufactured or refined
d) contry of origin of what??? For the cotton,tobacco...it.was coming from the West Indies and the southern colonies of America as Virginia, North and South Carolina (= the Carolinas), Georgia. (ds ce cas, tu diras, slave-produced goods were coming from... Country of origin of the ships : England (Liverpool and Bristol), and France (Nantes and Bordeaux) (j'étais pas sûr de la question)
e) The conditions of travelling on those ships were horriblr. They were chained and packed in the holds of the ships , (hold = soute, cale) f) The slaves were taking for being sold and work in plantations, women as servants. Very few of them managed to escape
g) Britain , "The Mother Country" took the more benefit of this trade.
