adjectifs courts

adjectif + -er (+ than)

adj. en -y = -ier (funny > funnier/ pretty = prettier)

si l'adjectif se termine par consonne/voyelle/consonne = on double la consonne  (big = bigger / fat = fatter/ thin = thinner)

exceptions

good = better

bad = worse

far = farther (ou further selon le sens)

rédiger 5 phrases.

A leather bad is more expensive than a cotton bag. (adj. long)

It's sunny ! The weather is better than yesterday.(goof = better)

Claudia is prettier than her sister. ( -y = -ier)

In Africa, it's hotter than in Europe. (doublement du "t")

The film is worse than the book.  (bad = worse)

Mary is nicer than her brother. (forme régulière adj. court = + -er)
