L’amour, ce sentiment intime, privé et personnel, comment pourrait-il avoir une histoire et se prêter au jeu de l’enquête sociologique ? N’aimerait-on pas de la même façon à toutes les époques et dans toutes les sociétés ? La sociologie de l’amour ne confond-elle pas purement et simplement l’amour et l’institution matrimoniale ? Questions légitimes, certes.
