I was walking back home after school on a dark winter day when a sudden glace  hit² my eyes, just as I was coming³ into our garden. I felt⁴ terrified and I rushed⁵ up the stairs. As I was opening⁶ the door, I heard⁷ the crash of a metallic object. I turned⁸ round and  saw⁹ a UFO, no doubt. And as I was standing¹⁰ there, petrified and waiting¹ for a Martian to come out, my neighbour ran¹² into the garden, shouting "My drone! Dear me! It has .crashed¹³!"

prétérit simple = action passée, soudaine, courte

present perfect = action qui vient de se passer mais en lien avec le présent
