Le temporel (passé) : Qui concerne, qui marque le(s) temps.
Modal(irréel : Qui ne semble pas du domaine de la réalité.
Autrement dit : le temporel c'est une action qui c'est passé / terminé.
Le modal c'est une action5qui ne sait pas passé (exemple : I WISH I were rich) ( If only she was happy)
