Try to answer the following questions to K. Mitnick: (essayez de répondre aux questions posées à K.M.)
1 - Why are you famous?
I am famous for being the world's most famous hacker. I gained notoriety for hacking into numerous high-profile computer systems, including those of major corporations and government organizations.
2 - How long did you stay in jail?
I stayed in jail for approximately five years. ( I was arrested in 1995 and sentenced to 68 months in prison, but I had already spent time in custody prior to my trial )
3 - Why were you put in solitary confinement?
I was placed in solitary confinement during my pretrial detention because the authorities believed I posed a significant risk to national security. The government argued that I could use a phone or computer to initiate attacks even from behind bars.
4 - When did you start hacking?
I started hacking in 1979, I was 16.
5 - Why did you start?
In fact, I started hacking out of curiosity. I was interested in how computer systems worked and wanted to explore their vulnerabilities. Over time, my hacking escalated to more serious and dangerous intrusions
6 - What did you do that got you arrested?
I was arrested for a variety of hacking-related activities, including breaking into computer systems, stealing sensitive information, and wire fraud. But a notable incident was my unauthorized access to the computer systems of major corporations like IBM and Nokia.
7- How long were you a fugitive from the government?
After being released on bail, I became a fugitive and went into hiding. I was on the run for about two and a half years, from 1992 to 1995, before I was captured by the authorities.
8- Do you miss the game today?
Not really, in fact I transitioned from being a hacker to a cybersecurity consultant after my release from prison. Now, I use my knowledge and experience to help organizations protect themselves from cyber threats. I have nostalgia for my early hacking days, but my focus has shifted to a more legitimate and legal career in cybersecurity.
