My name is Wendy, I'm an African-American. I'm 27 years old and I live in the state of Mississippi. I work as a cleaning lady for a white doctor named Mr. Watson.
There are only black women working at his house. Yet , this doctor is very racist.
He's antipathic and denigrates us because we are women and besides we're black.
In the waiting room, the blacks and the whites are separated because the whites fear that the blacks will transmit diseases ect...
On the right, there are many chairs for white people but very few chairs for black people. When Mr. Watson receives white patients, he is smiling and friendly, while when he receives black patients, he becomes cold and distant.
He really doesn't appreciate receiving them.
One day, I slipped when I was cleaning and I hurt my knee.
I asked him to me treat me but laughed at me and said "An insignificant wound can't hurt a Negro" I was hurt by his words but it wasn't serious.
A little later, I heard that this doctor wasn't healing the black people but was gaving them poisoned drugs to make their health worse.
As soon as I heard about this, I immediately resigned from his home. Now I'm looking for another job.
Ah! what is beautiful life of a black American woman in the southern United States!
My name is Wendy. I am a 27 years old African-American woman. I live in the State of Mississipi and I work as a cleaning lady for a white doctor whose name is Mr. Watson.
There are only black women working in this place, nevertheless this doctor is very racist. He is unpleasant (unsympathetic / unlikable) and denigrates us because we are women and besides black women.
In the waiting room, blacks and whites are separated because whites fear that black people might transmit all sorts of diseases and so on ....
On the right there are many chairs but very few chairs are allowed to black people. When Mr Watson receives white patients, he is smiling and kind as when he receives black patients, he gets cold and distant.
One day I slid when I was cleaning and I hurt my leg. I asked him to look after my knee, but he laughed at me and said "An insignificant wound can't hurt a Negro". I was hurt by his words but it wasn't meant to be that serious.
Later on, I heard that this doctor wasn't healing the black people , but he was giving them some poison instead of medicines to weaken them even more.
As soon as I heard about it, I immediately resigned from his home. Now I'm looking for another job.
