These days, especially in developed countries, the consumer society allows a lot of people to buy things they don't really need. This phenomenon is explained by the exceptional measures of companies to attract people and by our way of life.

What needs to be established from the start is that teens are seen as the primary target because they can not only buy with their money, but they can also push their parents to buy. According to a survey published in 2004 by the CRIOC (Center for Research and Information of Consumer Organizations), nine in ten adolescents say they encourage their parents to put objects in the cart. In addition, 84% of parents surveyed claim to have given in.
On the other hand, companies spend a lot of money on advertising. They represent a very effective selling point because they attempt to woo us with eye-catching. For example, commercials become short films with well-known stories and actors,

Indeed, the Western world is affected by doubts about the future, generated for example by globalization. We live in a society of fear and adolescents seek stability and value. This is why the ads are about happy families or couples: to make people believe that they will be happy if they have these items.
Indeed, objects are just an excuse to buy: in reality, we are simply looking for happiness. For example, we can search for clothes because we are in short supply but mostly because we are looking for beautiful clothes, in order to please people.
This fact may (explain / expand) why adolescents are considered the primary target. They face the most pressure from the group. For fear of being excluded, they (seek to / hunt) possess the same things as others. This fad all the more so as adolescents and businesses profit from it. They try to spread lifestyles to seduce teenagers​
