STAGE 1: Start the letter Start with the date and place and a greeting. It can be casual or more formal, according to the style you want to give your letter. • Marseille, 11th of November 2019 • Dear older me / dear Julien / dear wiser version of myself… • Hi, older me! / Hey, old me! STAGE 2 : Write the body of your letter 1) What is your main message? Write about who you are today, your life, your achievements, your hobbies… • I'm now a senior in high school [in Marseille]. • I play [rugby/the violin] 3 times a week, but my goal is to [run a marathon/write short stories] by the end of the year! 2) Focus on imagining your future life. Try to be as detailed as possible. But you don't have to be too serious – keep it fun! • I am now a teenager but when I read this letter, maybe I will be a grandfather/mother.
