I know and I try to help people to realize what is happening to our Mother's Earth. We are all guilty even if we are conscious about it, I'm sure sometimes we do things we shouldn't do.
The illustration I prefer is the one looking lige an hourglass (sablier). That's the one wich is the most poetic and shows exactly what's happening. Our sky is going far away from us . Global warning is destroying our atmosphere and it's going away. We pollute too much : why having a car when you're living in a city. Why are we buying fruits and vegetables coming from overseas.....Do people realize they're coming by plane, do they realize it's probably cultivated by children and women exploited by major companies. Just like all the sports goods coming from China or Bangladesh. I think they do know but they are blinkered (ils ont des oeillères). I've been educated , thank's to my mother, in respect of the nature. She's a smoker, she knows it's not well but she never throws her cigarette butt (mégot) on the ground. She always has a pocket ashtray. We always select our waste and she always refuses plastic bags. Unfortunately, where we're living they're no stores where you can buy without packages as in some stores, you take your own bottles, boxes and you fill them up with cleaning products, pastas, rice etc....there's still a lot to do. I'm so often ashamed and angry at the same time when I see what are doing the students in my collége. They have no respect.
Yes we are running out of time and we must act before it's too late......
I"m not sure every one would understand the second illustration made by WWF 'you can't afford to be in an emergency" .Are people going to think immediatly to the global warning seeing the firemen. It's a strong picture with the fire far away but are they going to make a relation at once.....? I don't think so.
We must not stop fighting and trying to help people to act differently.
It's a priority.
Je sais c'est long.J'aurai pu faire encore plus tellement j'ai été habitué à être sensibilisé par ça depuis que je marche !!!!je crois que je n'ai jamais rien jeté par terre; si je le faisais devant ma mère......pire que ramener une mauvaise note !!! Pour tout avouer elle est militante dans une ONG.
