Last week there was an alms giving at our place. We started getting ready for the event some weeks before. These were some of the things that were done by us. The monks from the village temple were invited for the occasion.The house was cleaned and the curtains. by father and his friends. The compound was washed . The house was painted and was swept and the garbage was bought by mother who was buried . The provision for the alms was held ? (helped) by the grandmother

Ce qui est sûr c'est que c'est du prétérit à la voix passive

==> BE (au past simple) -was/were + Participe passé du verbe
