Anglais urgen svp aidez moi svp c'est urgen c'est trop dure j'arrive pas svp “Hello! Is that Carla?” “Yes. Hello, Mrs Higginbottom”,said Carla happily. “Are you free tonight? I need a baby sitter because I’ve got to go to a business dinner this evening”. “Of course”, replied Carla. “I’ll catch the 7.30 bus; I’ll be there in an hour”. “Wonderful! Thank you Carla! I know I can always rely on you”. Mrs Higginbottom put the phone down and Carla rapidly packed her toothbrush and her homework into a small, overnight bag. Mrs Higginbottom lived in a remote farmhouse twenty miles from the town centre where Carla lived. She was a busy woman, and she often asked Carla to look after her two small children. Carla left her house at 7.25 and nearly missed the bus; she had to run to catch it. “Come in!” said Mrs Higginbottom, smiling. “I must rush, dear. You know where everything is. Make yourself at home. The children are already in bed”. The door slammed shut and then settled down to do her French homework. The only sound she could hear was the slow ticking of the clock. Suddenly the silence was broken by the telephone. Carla picked it up and someone said: “Get out of the house. The children are dead”. And that was all. Carla felt her heart go cold and she rushed upstairs to the children’s room. As she opened the door, the light from the hall lit up the bedroom. Carla laughed to herself: the children were asleep and happily dreaming of toys and teddy bears. . But how could they know she was As Carla went downstairs, she decided that the phone call was a silly joke by one of her school friends. But how could they know she was here? She went back to Moliere’s The Miser. Five minutes later the phone rang again. She picked it up and the same voice said: “Get out of the house. The children are dead”. This time, she slammed the phone down “I’ll kill them!” she muttered. In the next half an hour, this happened six times and she was beginning to get angry. She decided to telephone the operator to see if he could trace the call. The operator said he would deal with the problem. After the next call, the operator phoned back and said he needed one more call. Sure enough, five minutes later the phone rang. The voice said: “Get out of the house. The children are dead”. Carla put the phone down and waited for the operator to call. He phoned straight away and in a trembling voice he asked Carla if the neighbours were in. Carla told him that the nearest neighbours lived ten miles away. To this he replied: “My dear, you must get out of the house immediately. Mrs Higginbottom has got a personal phone downstairs and a business phone upstairs. And the calls are coming from the business phone which is upstairs…” But Carla wasn’t listening any more. She was listening to the creaking of footsteps on the wooden stairs. le texte c'est sa et moi je dois repondre a INTRODUCE THE TEXTE mais j'arrive pas aider moi
