- Who is Aunt Polly ?


Aunt Polly is an 'old lady' that loves Tom. She is his aunt on his mother’s side, and is his guardian since his mom died.

He hates work.

He likes walking around the village, and playing pranks on his aunt.

 - What did he do with the big boy ?


He tried to beat him . He argued about it with him, and soon they started fighting on the ground, pushing each other on the ground until the big boy started crying for Tom to stop.

 - What did he do on Saturday ?


He was supposed to paint the fence of 30 years long and 9 feet high. He started painting it white, but after a few minutes Ben (his friend) came to gloat about not having to work whilst Tom had to work for his aunt. Tom’s trickery eventually worked when he explained that whilst he could go swimming at any time he wanted, he could only paint the fence that one time. This resulted in Ben also wanting to help out.  

 - Did he do it alone ? explain ..

No because he tricked his friend Ben and all his other friends (Billy Fisher, Johnny Miller) to paint the fence for him whilst he when back home. His sly ruse consisted of feigning being the best at painting and it being the reason why he was painting alone on this beautiful Saturday. This caused his friends to want to prove themselves too and exchanging their own goods for painting the fence white.
