AT THE CHECK-IN DESK IN AN AIRPORT
Passenger: Hello, is this the check-in for all BA flights?

Check-in assistant: Yes, it is. Can I see your passport and ticket, please?

Passenger: Of course, here you are.

Check-in assistant: And how many bags are you checking in today?

Passenger: Just one.

Check-in assistant: Can you put it on the scale, please?

Passenger: Yes. Sure.

Check-in assistant: How many carry-on bags are you taking with you?

Passenger: None. I don’t have any hand luggage.

Check-in assistant: Ok.

Passenger: Can I have a window seat, please?

Check-in assistant: Yes, of course.

Passenger: Thank you.

Check-in assistant: Ok. Here are your boarding pass and your passport.

So your flight leaves from gate forty-nine at six fifty-five, but boarding starts half an hour before. You’re in seat five A.
