Para notação científica o objetivo é termos um número entre 0 e 10 multiplicando a potência de base 10 ...

Assim:

36 . 10^3

3,6.10 . 10^3

3,6.10^1 . 10^3

3,6.10^(1+3) = 3,6.10^4

==========================================

720. 10^2

7,20.10^2 . 10^2

7,2 .10^(2+2) = 7,2.10^4

=============================================

0,05.10^-3

5.10^-2 . 10^-3

5.10^(-2-3) = 5.10^-5 ok
