2x + 5y = 12

Multiplicando a primeira por -2 e a segunda por 3 para fazer a conta fica

-6x + 4y = 2
6x + 15y = 36

Agora podemos fazer a soma

19y = 38

y = 38/19

y = 2

Substituindo na primeira para achar o valor de x

-6x + 4 . 2 = 2

-6x + 8 = 2

-6x = 2 - 8

-6x = -6

x = 1
