5. In the 1920s, African American writers were influenced by experimental styles of European and American literature. They tried using new forms to talk about the experience of black people in American Society. What movement did they form in New York? Describe how this movement changed black experiences and arts. Then, read the poem "1. too", by Langston Hughes, and discuss how the poet portrays black identity.
