Luisa Mell, the stage name of Marina Zatz de Camargo, was born in São Paulo on September 19, 1978. She is an actress, television presenter and Brazilian model.

Born into a Jewish family, she began on television as a stage figure and later became a hostess of her own show, specializing in pets - especially dogs, with which she became known. Beside this activity, she acted as an actress in theater and television.

Luisa became well-known animal advocates, especially dogs. In 2008, an article about the Brazilian novel A Favorita had the title "Call to Luisa Mell", commenting that the program's public asked the station not to air a scene in which a dog would be sacrificed.

Her attachment to dogs made her define herself as a "cachorreiro".

At the end of January 2010, with the floods that occurred in several parts of the southeastern region of Brazil, Luisa directed a campaign in aid to the dogs victimized by the waters in São Luiz do Paraitinga.

On November 18, 2013, he participated in the invasion of the Royal Institute, on the grounds that Beagle dogs were being treated and sacrificed. Together with a hundred activists, Luisa, rescued 178 dogs and 7 rabbits.

Today, at 34 years and 11 years after her television debut and in favor of the animals, Luisa continues her daily struggle via the internet. With more than 120 thousand fans in social networks, the city of São Paulo is able to sensitize people to the subject and to intermediation processes of adoption and lost and found. "Who likes animals knows that you can count on me, because it's a cause I've adopted for my life."
